Hand Building

On these 3 x 2 hour sessions we make a Snowman or Santa ornament.

Price is £130 pp with 6 places available on a first come first served basis. Session times are 6pm till 8pm on Saturday evening on the dates below.

In these hand building sessions you make a pottery Snowman or Santa using coils and various hand building and texturing techniques to complete you ornament.

First sessions on 25th October. We will be planning your design making and assembling your Snowman or Santa.

Second sessions on 1st November. Finishing of the assembly and details on your Snowman/Santa.

Your work then needs to dry and be bisque fired ready for decorating. This will take a few weeks.

Third sessions on 22nd November. We will be painting the details with under-glaze, ready to glaze fire.

When done you will be contacted to arrange collection.

In these hand building sessions we will be exploring the art of making a sculpted human or animal head bust or a memorable building using slabs.

First sessions on 26th October. We will be planning your design making any components and start assembling/building your bust or structure. 

Second sessions on 2nd November. Finishing of the assembly and any details to complete the your piece.

Your work then needs to dry and be bisque fired ready for decorating. This will take a few weeks.

Third sessions on 23rd November. We will be painting or glazing the details with under-glaze, ready to glaze fire.

New Friday Hand building workshops.

Try your hand at hand building with clay using coils, slabs and pinch pots.

These 2.5 hour 1 off sessions let you experience our facilities and the world of pottery and clay.

Each session will have a general theme but your welcome to build your own item. Clay and help all provided. Price is £40 per person. Max of 6 people per session on a first come first served basis.
